Lapidary and Silversmithing Classes (5-Days)

This class will introduce you to metalworking and jewelry making. You will learn about materials, equipment and safety in the jewelry workshop. Through a series of demonstrations, you will learn to cut and polish semi-precious stones. You will also learn sawing, soldering, filing and polishing precious metal.

This class will give you time to fabricate a pendant and a pair of earrings. The class will work with silver and focus on gaining competency in soldering, torch handling safety, and bezel setting of a semi-precious cabochon. A variety of types of equipment will be demonstrated and used by students during the class in order to help students choose the best tools when setting up a workshop.

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!
The use of all tools and equipment is included. Class size will be between 2-4 students.
